  • Involved in all aspects of front-end design and implementation, MySql database, middleware and site optimizations for Mahalo.com, Mahalo Answers and Mahalo Social. Working extensively with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, LAMP, Squid, Memcached, Mediawiki (PHP), and Python (Django)

  • With the team, achieved and implemented a scalable design ready for high traffic growth, building up the site to 15 million unique visitors per month

  • Managed and developed an 18 month project to convert a Java based conferencing moderation applet into Ajax solution for clients

Gold Disk Inc. / Astound Inc., Mississauga, Ontario

  • Part of the team that brought the world Video Director, a video editing software suite that won two Top 10 software of the year awards from PC Magazine in 1995 and 1996.

  • I was also a developer of Astound Presentation, a multimedia presentation package and competitor to Microsoft Powerpoint. Worked extensively in Visual C++/MFC with some work in Visual Basic.

  • Played a large part in transitioning the company to internet technologies, creating the commercial website, corporate intranet and one of the first push technology products called Astound Enterprise.
